Annual Bessie Coleman Flyover

Saturday, April 30th, 2016.  The 37th Annual Fly-Over and Tribute to America’s Pioneering & Colorful Women in Aviation.
Continuing the continuing the historic tradition initiated in the 1930s by legendary aviators Cornelius Coffey and Willa Brown, the Tuskegee Airmen along with their program partners, continue to honor the legacies of Bessie Coleman, Willa Brown and Janet Harmon with this annual flyover of the gravesites of Bessie Coleman and Willa Brown at Lincoln Cemetery in Chicago.
Moments before the aircraft formation passes overhead,  hundreds of balloons will be released by event participants in honor of the achievements of each of these courageous women in the field of aviation.
Bring your families, and join us in the celebration on Saturday, April 30 2016, as we marked at 37th annual tribute to these three pioneering female aviators.
